Líbeznice Sports Pavilion

We design the sports pavilion within the Areál zdraví (Health Park) as a vibrant community hub that blends sensitively into the surrounding parkland. The low-slung, quiet volume is wrapped in a generous covered colonnade—a traditional park pavilion element that acts as a year-round transition space, providing shelter from the sun and rain while serving as a natural gathering spot for socializing and outdoor exercise.

The building's signature silhouette is defined by a trio of skylights, which flood the indoor halls with natural light by day and transform into soft lanterns over the park at night. The material concept combines a robust core of fair-faced concrete blocks with warm timber cladding and an extensive green roof, establishing the pavilion as a sustainable and enduring focal point for local community life.
